Our History
1997
Dieter Georg Tondera, former director of Deugro France assumes control of the company’s offices in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Abu Dhabi in the UAE, with its brand and logo inspired by the Tondera family’s sailing boat the Morning Melody.

2000
The company is renamed DGTL after the initials of Dieter Georg Tondera coupled with the first letter of the word Logistics. With its headquarters in Lorient, France and its global management hub in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, DGTL expands into new industries and geographies

2005
With the DGTL staff contingent reaching 200 people, leadership of the company is passed on to Marc Tondera, the son of Dieter Georg.

2015
The company changes its name to Rockfreight, presenting its heritage of personal experience, service dependability and international capacity in a new, modernised and global brand.
Rockfreight is set to move into a large, world-class facility in the Dubai World Central free zone adjacent to the much anticipated Al Maktoum International Airport, which will be the largest airport in the world when complete.
